La Procuraduría General de Suiza declaró este jueves: 'confirmamos que la Fiscalía General ha apelado ante la Cámara de Apelaciones del Tribunal Penal Federal dentro del plazo legal y ha solicitado la nulidad total de la sentencia de primera instancia'.
Tanto el expresidente de la FIFA, Blatter, como el exmandatario de la UEFA, Platini, fueron acusados por fraude por la Oficina del Fiscal General de Suiza (OAG).
Dominic Nöllen, representante legal del ex presidente de UEFA, argumentó ante el Tribunal Penal de Bellinzona, Suiza, que no había fundamento para un presunto delito de fraude por el que se acusa a su cliente; el veredicto está fijado para el 8 de julio.
El fiscal Thomas Hildbrand afirmó que no habría base legal para el pago que el ex directivo francés recibió en 2011 por su trabajo como asesor entre 1998 y 2002, justificado por el ex presidente de FIFA como "pago atrasado de salarios adeudados".
